Worry

Worry is otherwise known as 'fantasized catastrophising' where we create an image of the future and use it to frighten ourselves! Be aware that you are doing it, then stop doing it, otherwise the image will become a self fulfilling prophesy. Imagine only the brightest future, and so it will be (This one is easier said than done) . Besides there is nothing to worry about (This is again perspective, but broadly true ) ... unless you are under the illusion that your well-being and security are dependent on material things. If they are, then you will have many ways in which you can create worry. Possible loss, damage, separation, uncertainty are but a few. Look, you're killing yourself with worry, all because of the misuse of your imagination. Don't do it. ...
I know this post feels too short and incomplete . .  Do revert with suggestions on what else  can be written about . .

  1. Yess.. worrying is useless.. what has to happen, WILL happen, come what may!! Bt that doesn't mean u shouldn't plan.. plan, execute n then leave it to universe.. if it's right for u, will definitely happen..

  2. True dat! I had read this quote somewhere long back and find it inspiring 'Worry is a waste of emotional reserve'.
However, as u have rightly pointed out, it is easier said than done.
So, you could add some stuff that helps u stop these worrisome thoughts. What works for me may not work for u, and the internet is full of 'gyaan' wrt this. However, what I find helpful is meeting people who are positive, understanding and at some level, more mature than me in this life journey so far. Talking with such ppl helps put our perspectives into place. While social networking,Internet, phone games are all distractions when such thoughts arise, they are temporary. Meeting ppl in flesh and blood is the real deal for me. After all, Man (and woman 😜) is a social animal.

  3. Worrying is response to non-answerable, sustained or instantly imposed thought on ignorant mind. Mind seeks solution and dwells with it. Solution can be hypothetical, lie or compromising in nature. In all types of worries, one element is predominant 'fear of circumtance.' Anxiety and restlessness are parametre to judge the depth & the intensity of worry. Worry can be dealt with Hope and Trust with Self & God. When encountered just say from within 'All is Well" and focus on available options.

  4. An important point Vaidhy. Worry is when we do not see our desired state from being materialised and / or also adversely affecting our self image. You have presented the thoughts beautifully. It can only be interpreted through each individuals prism and resolved.

  6. Very well articulated. we're constantly worried and our nervous system is on high alert. Mental tension translates into physical tension, which can make us feel physically agitated. Work something which suits you the best.
